My 2001 740 was a much better car than my 2015 750......they just keep going downhill. The 2001 had a far superior ride and engine perfomance

I must say, i love the livery ! All those tiny little details are so freaking cool, i could spend an entire day looking at this car, on the hunt for those tiny details. The "Stanceworks aesthetic" is one of the reasons i'm hooked on this channel. Edit : you might have "ruined" a classic Ferrari, but you created an icon in the process.

If someone wants a project car to build or repair, to use and enjoy the final result, it doesn’t really matter if it’s a salvage title or not. Salvage title only hurts resale value. There are plenty of good cars with salvage or rebuilt titles.

Just because you did it doesn’t mean it’s good. All you did was decrease the value of the vehicle. Audi livery on a Ferrari in which you put 4 cylinders engine. The car looks slow in videos. Your opinion is all that it is - it’s your opinion. MY opinion is that you are overestimating your project. Yes, it looks nice - but unfortunately that’s it. And to be fair - the car looked even nicer before you started modifying it.

As a lifelong gear head. I love and respect when someone goes outside of the box and creates what they want in a car. Body work and Engine to your liking is what more people should do. I recently bought a 2001 525 BMW Touring. For more power I sourced a 1UR Toyota V8 then getting a SVT supercharger from a wrecked mustang to keep it to where I want it. People say negative comments because the lack of money or creativity

Couldn't care less about old cars generally. Cars are for people to use and enjoy, there are plenty of museum collections. Can't believe how many cars I lusted for are sitting around with extremely low milage. Nowadays I don't desire anything but what is a good daily driver. Plenty of vision on You Tube to satisfy my nostalgia.

Sound advice re buying a project car, i usually do the complete opposite (i like a challenge 😂) Last car i built (my profile pic) was bought as a bare shell with some rust/ bits cut out etc. Its not for everyone but i like the journey. Also in the uk we rarely get the privilege of a rust free classic car.

I loved every single episode of this build. It was a staggering amount of work with plenty of development left to go. As you say, there isn’t much Ferrari left to it and the parts you sold went to good use. So now you have a killer looking time attack car with a drivetrain that actually makes sense for its purpose. Not to mention, you built it all mostly yourself. Sure you had help, but one vision and that much fabrication is something to be super proud of. Anyone who hates on this build can suck it.

Hindsight it 20/20. But you ruined a pristine time capsule. In the end, you hacked everything that mattered to build what you wanted.

Investment? Unless you are at Jay Leno or David Lee levels of wealth, no car is an investment in any way. Personal choices are idiosyncratic, but calling rebuilding a car an “investment” is a total misnomer.

All OK but you murder a low number car

It also depends on what you’re wanting to do with the car. If you know you’re going to cut everything out and rebuild from scratch a R title or shell would be the best starting point. Having done it both with starting with a decent running driving car and just a shell, starting with the shell was much easier.

I have a 190 Evo 2. It has several problems. One is that it is full equipment. Which implies 150 kilos more than a friend's 190 Evo1 Powerpack. The other is the SLS suspension which is not good in sports driving. These problems are easy to solution. There is a third problem that is more complicated to solve. The EFI that, for example, the M3 E30 does have as standard. Although in competition both the Mercedes and the BMW had EFI. But hey, 235 hp without EFI compared to the 238 hp of the M3 Sport Evolution with EFI it's not bad. By the way, the Sport Evolution never produced 238 hp. My Mercedes 190 Evo1 Powerpack is most fast and better than my M3 E30 Sport Evolution.And the best touring car ever is not the E30 M3.Is the Sierra Cosworth RS 500 because It is more impressive to have the highest percentage of victories in the races in which I participate, especially considering that I have not competed for many years than to be the touring car that has won the most races for having competed for decades. For the rivets through the 3D printed bracket, using a longer rivet with matching ID washers on the back side will keep the rivets from ever pulling through. Awesome vid as always, love the build dude!
